Surroundings make a dramatic difference in the well-being of individuals and to the quality of work.

More than 80 percent of spaces have daylight sufficient for working; 93 percent have a view of the landscape. Offices with a visual connection to outdoor environments have been proven to increase occupant productivity and comfort.

The new workspace environments feature a variety of adjustable components, including variable-height work surfaces, ergonomically correct chairs and flexible monitor arms. Each associate can adjust the work surface height for seated or standing positions. Users have control of individual task lighting.

Superior air quality is emphasized through use of environmentally friendly materials, as well as advanced HVAC systems with humidity control, outdoor air monitoring and a carbon-dioxide monitoring system.

Throughout each floor, recessed air distribution diffusers provide associates the ability to control their own thermal comfort, temperature and air flow. Displacement underfloor HVAC reduces the amount of fan energy by only heating or cooling the lower space, where the occupants are located. This also reduces stagnant pockets of air in the breathing zone.

The onsite Q Street Cafe offers healthy cuisine prepared with many locally produced ingredients. Breakfast and lunch are available. Pantries conveniently located on each floor provide ice and filtered water dispensers, an eco-friendly alternative to bottled water.

Close access to trails encourages commuting by bicycling or walking. Amenities such as bicycle parking, showers and changing rooms are provided for associates, who are encouraged to commute or exercise by biking, walking or running before or after work or during lunch.

In consideration of the well-being of Assurity associates and visitors, the entire campus has been designated a tobacco-free environment.
